State Or Funded By The Government Against A Private Drug Rehabilitation

What is the difference between drug rehab and private state-funded? Deciding to invest thousands of dollars to the treatment regimen, when the state offers rehabilitation for free? Maybe we should try to have financed the first program and if it does not help as you can try a private pay. Certainly you want the best program for your loved one, but is not guaranteed How do we know if it works? These are all questions and opinions, which are common when a family begins the first to study the drug rehab programs on the Internet. There are many factors to consider, and we hope to answer all your questions and educate you in this important process.

Is there a difference between publicly funded institutions and private? Of course, as a matter of fact, most state-funded programs only provide a treatment program that includes the traditional 12-step method and replacement drug therapy. Unfortunately the programs funded by the state or government funded, government funds and other resources, is a leading pharmaceutical companies. This is a great company of detoxification for drug companies to fund these facilities managed by the State or Government, so they can prescribe medications to "treat" addiction. Not to mention state programs or funded by the government also uses 12-step philosophy for all treatments in a group where no individualized counseling is offered.

Successful private drug rehab will offer an alternative treatment than the 12-step, and usually offer some type of holistic protocol and possibly drug-free setting. Though some private programs still prescribe drugs like anti-depressants, anxiety, sleep AIDS, muscle relaxers, and opiate blockers make sure to stay away from these places, because all they do is substitute one drug for another. Apparently, sometimes drugs are necessary, such as detoxification in an environment in which a person may be coming off of opiates or certain prescription drugs. In this case, a good medical detox where the doctor will prescribe medications to curb the withdrawal symptoms is essential for recovery, but this would be a short period about a couple of weeks.

Another factor to consider is the environment and ease of life. While some private treatment centers offer a holiday or in a complex environment of style that can sometimes communicate wrong reasons why a person is in rehab some people are using this type of equipment and to feel more comfortable. It is important that a person feels comfortable, safe and learn other important life skills and healthy lifestyle. Proper exercise, gym, a healthy diet and vitamin and mineral therapy are important for a person to change their old lifestyle of bad habits to a new lifestyle. These significant changes in a person's health and nutrition are not available on a state drug rehabilitation or funded by the government and the alcohol.

Although all these things you should consider when finding a rehab inpatient is the most important match of a program that meets the needs of the individual dependent. Anyone who is addicted to alcohol or drugs has their own personal problems. Not all detox center will offer what the addicted individual needs. Before you propose drug treatment as an option for your loved one who has an addiction that you have limited facilities to one or two.
